This page explains how to delete your Nexamail account (Nexamail.ai — the privacy-first AI email assistant, published as Nexamail on Google Play) and exactly what happens to your data when you do. Nexamail is operated by AE TECHNOLOGIES GROUP LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17419062, with its registered office at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
How to delete your account
Deletion is permanent and irreversible, so it must be requested from inside your signed-in account. That is the only way we can confirm the request genuinely comes from the account owner — we will never delete an account based on an unauthenticated web form, because that would let anyone target someone else's mailbox.
- Open Nexamail on the web at nexamail.ai, or open the Nexamail Android app.
- Sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Go to Settings → Privacy.
- Choose one of:
- Deactivate & schedule deletion — your account is paused immediately and permanently deleted 30 days later. You can cancel during that window by signing back in.
- Delete immediately — type
DELETEto confirm and your account is purged straight away.
If you cannot sign in
If you have lost access to your account, first try resetting your password from the password reset page. If that does not work, email privacy@nexamail.ai from the email address registered to the account and we will help you verify ownership and complete the deletion.
We will only ever confirm or act on a deletion request once ownership of the address is verified. We do not disclose whether any given email address has a Nexamail account to anyone who cannot prove they control it.
What is deleted
Deleting your account removes the following categories of data:
- Account and profile — your login, name, email address, plan record, language, region and preferences.
- Mailbox connections — the OAuth access and refresh tokens for every connected Gmail and Outlook mailbox.
- Synced mailbox data — the message metadata and snippets Nexamail stored to render your inbox (sender, recipients, subject, timestamps, thread and message identifiers, labels/folders, read state, preview text).
- AI content — assistant conversations, generated drafts, summaries, triage and classification results, scam-check output, and any images you attached to an assistant conversation.
- AI memory — everything Nexamail had learned about your writing style and preferences.
- Productivity data — follow-ups, reminders, notes, calendar suggestions, detected and manually added subscriptions, and contact/relationship records.
- Device data — push notification tokens registered to your account.
What is not deleted
- Your actual mailbox. Nexamail only deletes its own stored copy. Nothing is removed from your Gmail or Outlook mailbox. You can also revoke Nexamail independently at myaccount.google.com/permissions or in your Microsoft account security settings.
- A minimal deletion record. We keep a one-way reference to the deleted address plus the deletion timestamp, so a deleted account cannot be silently revived and so we can honour the deletion if someone tries to sign in again. It cannot be used to reconstruct your account or reach you.
- Records we are legally required to keep. Billing, tax and fraud-prevention records, and security logs needed to investigate abuse, are retained for as long as the applicable law requires. These do not contain your mailbox content.
- Encrypted backups. Deleted data is removed from live systems at the point of deletion. Residual copies may persist briefly in our managed provider's encrypted disaster-recovery backups until those backups age out.
Google Play subscriptions
Deleting your Nexamail account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Subscriptions purchased inside the Android app are billed by Google, not by Nexamail, and must be cancelled through Google Play or you may continue to be charged.
- Open the Google Play Store app (or go to play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions).
- Tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Select Nexamail and tap Cancel subscription.
Refunds for Google Play purchases are handled by Google under its refund policy. Subscriptions purchased on the web are billed by Stripe and are cancelled automatically when your account is deleted; you can also cancel them beforehand from Settings → Billing.
Just want to disconnect a mailbox?
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove a mailbox. In Settings → Connections, disconnecting Gmail or Outlook revokes and deletes the stored tokens for that mailbox and permanently deletes the synced messages, unified inbox items, and AI drafts Nexamail held for it. Your account, subscription, settings and any other connected mailbox are unaffected.
